Bad Company

Sometimes we invite bad company into our lives, relationships, and business, and then wonder why we are not experiencing progression.

In 1 Corinthians 15:33 it states:

“Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character (NIV).”

It does not matter how much you want to improve, if every time you go to improve or make changes in your life, you continue surrounding yourself with bad company. Sometimes our allegiance to things or people impedes our progress.

We must be mindful that whatever we allow into our lives, has the ability to draw us away from where we want to be or closer to where we want to be in the areas of our lives.

Sometimes the reason we can’t get unstuck is because we have invited guests, that should not have being on the invitation lists into our life. If you keep bad company it can destroy (i.e. corrupt) your life, business, and relationships. So my question to you is what company are you keeping? What have you invited into the most important parts of your life?

Are you experiencing progression or regression? Is your life becoming better or worse?

The company you keep could be causing doors to be closed to you. The company you keep may be a repellant versus propeller. It is easy to remain in the company of what feels safe and familiar, and difficult to break out of your comfort zone.

You must be willing to allow your comfort zones to be disturbed in order to grow beyond where you’ve being, and where you are!
